The Procedure: Dental Bonding
Tooth bonding can usually be completed in one visit to our Truckee dental office. Before your treatment, Dr. Reid will apply a local anesthetic to keep you comfortable throughout your procedure. If needed, Dr. Reid will remove a small amount of tooth enamel to prepare the tooth for bonding.Dr. Reid will then apply the composite resin the tooth. Composite resin can be molded, shaped, and color matched to blend with your existing teeth. Using a unique ultraviolet light, Dr. Reid will cure the composite resin into place. Once hardened, the composite resin will be polished for a beautiful new finish.
For a lasting result, patients should follow aftercare instructions and continue to practice an excellent oral hygiene routine.
